I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
