Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.
The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.
Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The attack - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
